Responsibilities:
- Maintain the integrity of billing records by ensuring the accuracy of data and processing internal requests for updates promptly
- Verify that invoices agree to underlying customer contracts and sales orders
- Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies
- Review accounts with credit balances periodically and issue refunds or prepare large refunds for approval
- Manage our tax platform to ensure appropriate taxes are collected and remitted as needed
- Review customer contracts to ensure proper revenue recognition and validate that customers are billed in accordance with contract terms
- Analyze AR aging to identify overdue/delinquent accounts, prepare account statements, contact customers regarding overdue accounts, and document weekly collection activities
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the AR and Operations function
- Ensure that the A/R and Operations process and system documentation remain current
- Assist in the monthly accounting close process as it pertains to billings, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition
